Enna Ruth O’Donnell, CPCC, MA
Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #101264
“May you realize that you are never alone.” John O’Donahue
Through listening, I will help you identify and organize the turbulent feelings you may have been fearing and avoiding for some time. Together, we will explore and resolve emotional patterns that sabotage your life and the fulfillment of your potentiality in areas of life that are of greatest importance to you including relationships, work and creativity. We will work towards resolving old wounds and to develop new ways of thinking you disentangle from your struggles.
One of the benefits of therapy is to connect to your own heart your own capacity to make choices with confidence. Through regular sessions and sometimes homework between session, you will learn more skillful ways to create a life that is safe, satisfying and connected. As we clear away the brambles in your interior world, we clear space in which love, joy, possibilities and new choices can take root in your life.
I welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. Some of the areas I work with include depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, illness, grief, and anger. I have specialized training in couples therapy, work related challenges and parenting issues.
I come to psychotherapy with a background in business, arts, teaching in Bay Area schools, parenting, and care-taking family members. My work is informed by a lifelong passion for and commitment to human development. My style is practical, proactive and personal to your unique history, life challenges, and longings. I have an MA in Integral Counseling Psychology from CIIS and continued studies in trauma-informed care and couples counseling. In order to better serve couples, I have completed the Level 2 training in the Gottman therapy method and I teach Anxiety and Depression Management classes at Kaiser. My client work is also informed by my interests in creativity, well-being, and spirituality.
