- Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Master of Arts, Counseling Psychology
Therapy provides a space dedicated solely to your wellbeing and growth. Some of the things I work with include anxiety, depression, loss and grief, the impacts of oppression, identity, race-based stress, challenging family dynamics, boundaries, coming out, interpersonal relationship challenges, self-harm, the voice of an inner critic, and the impacts of trauma, including early developmental trauma.
I am a queer, biracial therapist of color based in Oakland practicing somatic psychotherapy via telehealth. As a therapist, I am grounded, warm, curious, and attuned.
I hold a bachelor of science in Africana studies with a psychology minor and a master of arts in counseling psychology with a concentration in somatic psychology. Most recently, I trained at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy in San Francisco, where I had the opportunity to work with individuals and groups.
I work somatically, which means my therapeutic approach blends talk therapy with body-based explorations. I see therapy as a collaborative process with each person having unique needs and goals, so my approach is tailored to the individual.

Your body may not always feel like a safe place due to trauma. I hold this feeling delicately. Many of the self-protective measures trauma made necessary—often unconsciously—have served their function: keeping you safe. These same measures may have also numbed your sense of personal power, pleasure, and joy. We can hold these complexities together in celebrating the ways of being that have allowed you to survive, while also exploring what may better serve you now.
