- Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker
Master of Arts, Social Work
With curiosity and openness, I work with the developmental, analytical, and mystical aspects of psychotherapy to support your skillful action and to make space for a clearer, deeper connection with who you really are.
Your path in therapy may involve inquiries on the physical, intellectual, psychological, emotional, and spiritual planes.
I draw from social work, neuroscience, yoga philosophy, and social justice along with psychodynamic theory and research. As a social worker, we may consider your experiences within the arcs of collective culture, history, and current social contexts and power structures.
I am also a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) and a Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT).
I am currently available to begin with new couples and individuals via telehealth.
My training includes psychodynamic approaches, analytic/Jungian psychology (archetypes, dreams, shadow work, etc.), and attachment/object relations theories. I have years of experience working with survivors of sexual violence and domestic violence in inpatient and outpatient settings and in group and individual formats.
Therapy is a process of becoming and of exploration, creativity, and possibility. Together we immediately pursue a sense of support and relief from suffering as part of the therapeutic relationship. We also consider ways in which present-moment problems, dilemmas, compulsions, suffering, and pain can be viewed as guideposts to therapeutically direct your efforts toward sustainable relief, increased freedom and choice, and self-actualization.
