- Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
Master of Arts, Clinical Counseling and School Counseling
I believe that you are the foremost expert on your own experiences, and I know how difficult it can be to find a therapist who feels like the right fit. While my professional interests are LGBTQ+ identities, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and college transitions, I welcome all teens and adults with a warm, playful, and encouraging style. My approach is integrative, strength-based, and client-centered. Together, we’ll discuss your unique past experiences, and discover how they influence you in the present and can lead to new choices and new outcomes in the future. I hope to help you create meaningful changes, stronger relationships, and a greater sense of self by focusing on your strengths and using a blend of different therapeutic styles that best match your individual personality and needs.
I am an AFAB trans/nonbinary person, and spent most of my life socialized as female. Because of this, I personally still feel very connected to women's/femmes' experiences and see much of the world through this lens. My work is informed by my own experiences with mental illness, as well as my other marginalized identities and increasing privilege/perception as a white masculine-presenting person. I grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from the University of San Francisco with my master of arts in both clinical counseling and school counseling. I have a background of working in advertising and tech, and understand the demanding environment of the corporate world. When I am not working, I enjoy painting and taking my pitbull Zoey with me wherever I go.
My clinical experiences range from guiding students in San Francisco Unified School District to counseling patients at California Pacific Medical Center Hospital, and I now work one-on-one with clients in a private practice setting. My experience includes leading LGBTQ+ student therapy groups and supporting teens through the adjustment to college and post-secondary settings. In the hospital setting I have worked with trans patients receiving gender-affirming care, folks who are HIV+, people experiencing homelessness, and people living with bipolar disorder. In response to California's Shelter in Place, I am now offering telehealth/online therapy services by video or phone.
