- Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker
Master of Arts in Social Work
I will partner with you to work with your present concerns in a safe, supportive, and confidential space. My therapy practice blends psychodynamic talk therapy guidance with holistic tools for grounding and renewal. I work with the following goals: to help you feel more clarity, to guide you in harnessing your internal resources, and to help you find your way back to your true, authentic self. When we work together you will receive openness, analytic reflection, and warmth on my end as we address your hurdles. I am here for you, ready to help and get you back on the path of where you want to be.
I am an eclectic therapist with social work training in the bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective, and I bring my own personal passion and enthusiasm for expansion and healing. I have assisted individuals experiencing grief, suicidal thoughts, social anxiety, unresolved shame, the debilitating symptoms of depression, healing from trauma, attracting goals, and more. I do not limit my services to a particular area as I often find intersecting issues beckon different approaches for treatment and focus.
I find psychotherapy to be a sacred and valuable gift, and I take very seriously the vulnerability it takes to sit in a room and disclose one’s most private thoughts. It’s with this sense that I also try to bring light and normalcy to the fact that we all suffer and need help sometimes. I come with a trauma-informed lens as our past wounds are often our most valuable tools for healing. Mindfulness, social justice, humility, and self-compassion are the ideals that inspire and guide me the most.
I received my social work training from New York University in 2014 and worked post-graduate as a program director for a grassroots aging-in-place program in Brooklyn, NY. This work was exciting, ever-rewarding, and richly educational as I had the joy of supervising a wonderful staff and becoming a part of a unique community. Upon my move to California, I worked with Kern County’s mental health crisis division as a therapist until I had a baby and decided to dive deep into the journey of motherhood. I have since begun cultivating a private practice that integrates mind-body-spirit elements with clinical traditional psychotherapy.
I have a personal passion in the ancient art of Hawaiian Hula dance as well as a few other women’s indigenous dances. This folk body of wisdom imparts strong therapeutic properties such as acceptance, embodiment, transformation, storytelling, and shedding the ego, and it has informed my work as a therapist as well.
I provide solution-focused therapy to adults using a psychodynamic framework with integrative and creative orientations brought into the process. I incorporate evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and attachment reflections, and I draw from a holistic tools set when appropriate, including guided imagery, exercises for boundary explorations, personal storyline healing, and more. I enjoy offering occasional resources and exercises to clients for continued reflections at home.
