Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Master of Science (M.S.)
As a person of color raised in the U.S. and of immigrant parents from Mexico, it has been a healing journey for me to process the impact of social-cultural trauma and break the cycles of intergenerational trauma. I am here to help you address issues pertaining to your past, present, and future self to heal and begin to take the steps in breaking negative generational cycles.
As a first-generation person of color raised in East Los Angeles, I bring in a bicultural perspective in therapy that invites me to be culturally attuned and address the rooted issues related to our mental health struggles.
I incorporate a social justice lens to analyze how our intersecting identities, cultural, and social forces impact our mental health. I collaborate with you in the process of healing and tap into your inner strengths while identifying the cycles that get us caught in limiting our potential.
As a therapist, I’ve had the opportunity to work with diverse populations of individuals in community, school, and clinical settings. During my work with community agencies in historically underserved areas of LA, I worked with youth, adults, and older adults in group, family, and individual settings. I have helped clients address issues pertaining to trauma, depression, anxiety, family conflict, grief, and coping skills. In school settings I worked with youth, their families, and staff members by providing workshops and trainings on grief, increasing coping skills, mental health de-stigmatization, and trauma.
In the therapy sessions, we will explore and draw connections to our roots, I will use a combination of family systems approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapy to address the internal, historical, or family cycles that impact our mind, body, and soul. I am passionate and experienced in working with survivors of trauma, racial and cultural trauma, historically underserved youth and their families, people of color, first-generation young professionals, and anyone that is willing to grow and heal. I look forward to joining you in your journey!

I provide individual and family therapy via telehealth. I will work with any client that wants to examine their place in the larger historical context of society, their community, and their family to collaborate in finding ways to address the cycles that impact them.
No matter where you are from, “ni de aqui ni de aya,” the essence of finding the cycles that persist from generation to generation is important in addressing the root of our issues and their impact on our mind, body, and soul.
