- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
LCSW #117132
Master of Social Work (MSW)
I became a therapist because I love to listen to people's stories. By listening deeply and allowing space for curiosity, I can support you in connecting the dots in your patterns and then we can spend time exploring them together. If you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or unresolved trauma, I'm here to move through those with you. I use an integrated approach, including but not limited to the following modalities:
- Brainspotting
- Person-centered Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Mindfulness
I'll cater my approach to you as an individual, based on your personality, preferences, neurotype, and any number of other factors. You're in the driver's seat, but I'd be honored to be your co-pilot!
I am located in San Diego and offering teletherapy throughout California.
I am a white cis hetero neurodivergent woman who celebrates and affirms LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent experiences. Equity, inclusivity, and justice are central to my practice, and I place great importance on cultural humility and responsiveness. I work with individuals and couples who want someone to walk alongside them as they explore themselves and the world around them. I have experience in working with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodiversity, and I specialize in working with siblings of people with disabilities. I also enjoy supporting white people in unpacking white supremacist culture within themselves as they relearn what it can mean to be white in America. I use an integrated approach to cater the style and type of therapy to each individual client and their goals, including aspects of Brainspotting, Person-centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2013 from the University of Southern California. Since then, I have gained experience in the areas of child welfare, fostering, adoption, community mental health for children, adolescents, and adults, school mental health, and community college disability support services. Having a brother with disabilities has shaped my identity and my approach to the work that I do. Growing up, I learned to see things from various perspectives and to appreciate diverse ways of thinking, which allows space for difficult topics to be approached with care and compassion.
My sense of humor has always been key to my relationship building; I find that laughter creates connections and opens our hearts and minds. I recognize that everyday challenges can intersect with deep trauma, and both deserve caring attention. I have a warm, empathic, and holistic approach, inviting clients to bring all of themselves to therapy as I do the same.
