Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor #8840
Associate Clinician, Masters of Art in Counseling Psychology, Focus on Somatic Psychology
Have a particular life obstacle you’re trying to overcome? Are you feeling overwhelmed in your situation? As a committed, professional associate Somatic Psychotherapist in San Francisco, your well-being and mental strength is my number one priority. Forming the connection between body and mind is the path to wholeness and healing.
I graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies with a Masters of Art in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Somatic Psychology. I completed my traineeship at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy, where I had the privilege of working with a diverse clientele consisting of adults and adolescents. My clinical work is heavily influenced by the practice and principles of Formative Psychology, in addition to a Psychodynamics approach.
Since June of 2019, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse clientele in both individual and group therapy settings. My focus is on exploring the relationship between body and psyche through the lens of Formative Psychology
and Psychodynamics. I spent the past decade working in the service industry and operating my own practice as an Energy Worker/Practitioner. My own lived experience has very much influenced the reasons that I am drawn to this work of somatic psychotherapy.
My practice is based on the belief that every individual is moving towards a place of well-being and that there is natural wisdom of the body which can be cultivated in this process of forming. My clinical approach can be defined as client-centered. I bring all of myself to this work and care deeply about my clients and what they have to share. I am guided by different somatic and psychodynamic modalities/ theories such as Formative Psychology, Trauma-Informed, Attachment Theory, and Jungian Psychology. I use these approaches to offer support and guidance to adults, adolescents, children,
and families.
My own lived experience has set me on the path towards wholeness, and due to this, I have a real commitment to providing trauma-informed, body-accepting, LGBTQ+ friendly, and a social-justice oriented somatic practice.
