How I Can Help

I work with clients to help better understand how their childhood impacts them today and work with them to better understand and heal their relational wounding. Did you grow up in a chaotic household? Maybe one or more of your caregivers/parents suffered from addiction, abuse, mental illness, illness, or were absent- so you stepped up and became the responsible one. Being parentified from a young age can lead to many different behavioral outcomes, amongst them are: perfectionism, people-pleasing, codependency, poor boundaries, low self-worth, difficulty identifying or asking for one's needs, and many more possibilities.
My approach is client centered and unique to each person. I believe that the deepest healing comes from integrating the body’s experience with the mind’s thoughts. By strengthening communication between the body and the mind, the entire body system moves into harmony and out of survival mode, opening to a new world of possibilities, and less stress.
True to my Buddhist and humanistic training, I guide with compassion-based mindfulness and use a variety of contemplative and somatic practices to help one better understand their unique experience and its many expressions. In my practice, I welcome and work with all types of humans from a diverse variety of backgrounds. It has been said that it only takes one positive relationship to heal from relational trauma, and I hope to be that for you.
In the end, I hope you feel empowered to live your life fully, unapologetically, and have the courage and safety to love with a heart that is wide open. Whether you decide to work with me or not, I hope you find the support you are looking for on the courageous path of self-exploration and healing.

Internships

We offer a supportive private practice internship program, allowing pre-licensed clinicians (AMFT/ASW/APCC) to earn an income, accrue hours towards licensure and develop the clinical and entrepreneurial skills required for success in private practice. During the Coronavirus pandemic, we are continuing to accept new associates, helping them to launch practices as teletherapists. We also occasionally accept newly licensed clinicians, helping them to launch their private practice careers.

Services

In response to the Coronavirus, we now focus on providing teletherapy (therapy by phone and video) to our clients. Teletherapy can be helpful to individuals of all ages, including children and teenagers. Couples and families can also benefit from the convenience, flexibility and effectiveness of teletherapy. Please call or write us today to learn more about our services.
