Masters in Counseling
I received a Master’s in Counseling from Southwestern College, focusing on transpersonal and holistic counseling. During my time throughout graduate school, I found a passion for somatic-centered therapies. In my own healing journey, I have found these practices to be transformative and shift consciousness through the subtle body. I continue to expand my own experience and trainings with somatic therapy and creative arts integration. The support of self-expression creates movement and allows us to come into the wholeness of our unique and authentic selves.
I enjoy working with clients of all ages, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, sexualities, and other intersectional identities. I have worked most with individuals and groups and am excited to work with couples and families as well.
I specialize in therapy for anxiety, depression, PTSD, developmental and shock traumas, and more. I understand that sometimes psychotherapy is sought out in a very challenging time of life, and I am here to offer support through that.
With years of experience working with young adults, I offer support for the process of individuation that occurs during these formative years.
I also have experience facilitating Grief and Somatic Groups, to help bring about the natural resilience that occurs from within. I enjoy holding the group interpersonal processing space and hope to continue to offer this and facilitate new groups as well.
I offer some sliding scale spots, dependent on income, to be accessible to those who are at different rates of affordability.
I specialize in incorporating somatic therapeutic techniques to help regulate the nervous system. We will include the body in treatment, which allows for support through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and more at a deep healing level. I practice inner child work and hypnotherapeutic techniques to help clients heal on a subconscious level. With a focus on helping young adults, I utilize therapeutic techniques to scaffold this monumental transformational period.
As many people are especially overwhelmed right now, trauma-informed techniques are even more important. My approach works with trauma in a titrated way, which means that we will focus on supporting and not flooding, your system. My style of work is collaborative, supportive, and kind. I am holistic and integrative, which means that I believe there is potential for healing in each one of us. I am here to facilitate what the body knows how to do best, which is to heal. With our work, we will help you to connect to your internal resilience and thrive.
I come from a performing arts background and find meaning in singing, acting, and dance. I believe that the practices of creativity can be powerful forms of processing. I feel the integration of this into therapy can create positive and restructuring experiences.
My practice is based on creativity, self-discovery, and vitality. I find meaning in witnessing my clients’ self-discovery and their newfound understanding of themselves. For me, this looks like creatively utilizing varying approaches to move with and through trauma and pain. In holding a space of presence, I support my clients to come back into their own vibrancy of life with movement, flow, and release. I continue to deepen into my own creative practices and training to have a deeper intuitive guidance. Most meaningful to me is the liminal space where there is shared healing, liberation, growth, and self-realization.
