Are you a teen or a young adult trying to find your way? Are you a parent seeking support for
your child who’s going through a hard time? Maybe you're a couple longing to find more
connection or frustrated with repeating the same fights over and over. Or maybe you're aware that something in your life just isn't working for you, and you're needing some extra support to figure it out.
Together, we can get curious about your experience, identify patterns, find ways to cope with
hard and uncomfortable feelings like anxiety and depression, identify what you’re really longing for, and create new possibilities in your relationships and connection to yourself.
My Berkeley office is great for kids to engage in play therapy and expressive arts. I also love
working with teens, young adults, couples, activists, caregivers, and folks working on
understanding intergenerational trauma.
I come to this work with a background in nursing where I worked in community health and
hospice. I also have been involved in various forms of community activism, and in my own
personal therapy in explored the intergenerational trauma and collective issues of my own
community.
I pursued a Masters in Psychology because I see healing and social justice as not separate
issues, but deeply interwoven. Just as we internalize messages from our childhood homes, we
also internalize the systems of oppression of our society and these stories, emotions, and body experiences keep us from accessing our best selves. Therapy is one tool that allows us to explore our inner experience and gain insights into the patterns that may have protected us, but are no longer serving.
I graduated from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2020 and have since received
advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. This approach helps couples find
their way back to each other, increasing connection and intimacy, and helps couples break free from the patterns that have us repeating the same fights over and over.
I’m also influenced by somatic approaches and collective trauma models that focus on working in the present moment with curiosity and gentleness, accessing new levels and parts of our experience.
As a white, cis-gendered female therapist I intend to track my positionality in the therapy room and create space for exploration of identity as part of the therapeutic journey.
I provide an environment that is warm, gentle, deeply compassionate, and direct. I also use
humor and lightness to normalize the really hard and human things that we all struggle with.
Your whole self is welcome, even the parts that can be hard to talk about.
I have an integral approach that is trauma-informed and will make space to feel the body,
explore what is happening in the moment, and deepen into new areas of understanding. This is a rich and beautiful journey to embark on that can leave you feeling more alive, whole,
empowered, and free.
