I am a somatic therapist who focuses on relational, attachment, and childhood trauma issues. I work with individuals and couples to address relationship ambivalence, codependence, anxiety, depression, major life transition, PTSD and trauma, shame and low self-esteem, and poor communication and conflict, among other issues. I help you build awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations, allowing you to develop greater insight and uncover new choices.
I utilize trauma and attachment theories frequently as a way to frame issues. Working somatically, I highlight and promote the body-mind connection and reference our therapeutic relationship as a source of information and insight.
My work is also influenced and informed by:
Dance. As a lifelong dancer, I see the body as a source of information and healing. Through somatic therapy, we build physical and psychological strength to transform what holds us back into what moves us forward.
Nature. As a vision quest guide, I lead people into nature to reestablish contact with their natural rhythms and with parts of themselves lost in the din of daily life. We access your inner state of nature to help you regain purpose and find your path to healing.
Relationship. Our organisms are built to continuously attune to one another. Together we create a new space in which you can experience yourself in a different way.

My style is warm and direct. I am nurturing and supportive, yet I also call it as I see it. I foster the development of safety and trust in our relationship so that together we can explore and process what may be inaccessible or overwhelming to do alone.

Traumatic experiences change us physically, mentally, and emotionally. Nowhere else is the wound so deep and nowhere else can healing be as profound and transformative. I support you in safely processing traumatic events to uncover new states of freedom and aliveness. We look to the body to identify your strengths, your edges, and your unique path to healing. Whether you have experienced a singular terrifying event or endured cumulative incidences of fear, violence, and neglect, you can heal.
Relationships bring out the best and worst in us. Navigating the space between love and heartbreak can reopen our earliest traumas. Sometimes our partners become strangers to us. Sometimes we become strangers to ourselves. I work with gay and straight, monogamous and polyamorous couples on a variety of issues, including conflict, communication, ambivalence in relationships, infidelity, and breaches of trust. I utilize somatic therapy to help individuals find safety, emotional connection, intimacy, and passion in their relationships.
