- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Master of Arts, Counseling Psychology
Many of us feel like we go through our everyday lives weighted down by a backpack full of overwhelming concerns, anxiety, depression, and unresolved feelings. I offer a clean surface to take everything out, a partnership in examining the things that weigh you down the most, and a renewable process for unburdening yourself of things that no longer serve you.
My own experience with depression and anxiety led me to this work and I'm grateful for the path that brought me here. Therapy has been a space for me to experience building an affirming and nonjudgmental relationship in which I can practice being myself. It's challenging, but the reward has been a growing ability to live my life with awareness and acceptance—without depression and anxiety hijacking my contact with this weird and beautiful world.
I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Purchase, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and an integrative health counseling certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I interned at the Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center, and have been an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Grateful Heart Holistic Therapy Center and in private practice since 2015. I am registered with Psychology Today.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process where we work within a flexible framework unique to each client’s personality, challenges, and needs. Most of our work begins with exploration in the form of conversation. I also draw from a variety of other expressive arts such as creative writing, music, and movement, and tap into prior experience from my background in nutrition and wellness coaching as well as my ongoing career as a hairstylist

I am deeply committed to working with clients who experience feelings of "otherness"—visible or non-visible—and unpacking how that feeling impacts their sense of self in the world.
My particular passion is working with women about body image, especially women living with issues concerning alopecia, trichotillomania, and other medically related hair loss. This is something dear to my heart, as I believe my own experience with alopecia has been essential in my quest for self-acceptance and inner strength.
