Master of Arts, Clinical Psychology
To be seen and understood for who you are by someone with good intentions and real knowledge can help you know that you are real and your experience of life is also real. Being understood in this way is at the heart of being human. It is also at the foundation of building a resilient sense of self that allows you to overcome your wounds and achieve your full potential. We need to be fully human before we can evolve and transcend as either psychological or spiritual beings.
My exposure to several different schools of psychology has enriched my therapeutic toolbox. However, skills and therapeutic techniques are secondary to my practice. Deep and accurate understanding of clients lies at the heart of any authentic process of healing. Existential and phenomenological ways of seeing humanity and being-in-the-world are embedded in my practice as well as my very being.
I am an experienced psychotherapist with more than ten years of clinical experience in both Asia and the United States. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly as individuals and in couples, families, and groups. I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology, a master’s degree in developmental and educational psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in mental rehabilitation. I have worked in hospitals, schools, psychological consultation centers, and private practice settings with a variety of clients.
I work with clients in a way that is both relational and integrative. In addition to my training in psychological theory, I have in depth training and clinical experience in a number of different treatment approaches. Please visit my website to learn more about me.
