Ready to rediscover who you are?
I don't trust myself.
I'm tired of letting opportunities pass by because of self-doubt and tired of the regret I feel afterwards.
I know that changes in actions and beliefs can lead to growth and I realize that greater self-knowledge can help awaken a sense of purpose. But even though I've tried time and time again to develop a sense of empowerment, I'm not reaching my goals.
If any of these statements resonate with you, you're not alone. We live in a society that barrages us with negative external messages that silence our inner knowing— that powerful sense of intuition that rests just beyond our consciousness. When we are disconnected from our intuition, we can lose our sense of purpose.
Rediscovering your inner knowing can be hard work, but I'm here to help. Let’s work on making changes in a way that feels right and supports your process. You’ve been holding on to fear and negative messages. It’s time to let go. Let me help you on this journey.
I am a clinical counselor and art therapist. Many of my clients woke up one day and said, “How did I get here?” I work with you so you can learn to trust yourself and use your intuition to reconnect with your sense of purpose, allowing you to live with intentionality.
I create a space where you can develop a sense of empowerment, using your intuition and self-insight to lead you toward your goals. Through the use of creativity, conversation, and contemplation, I help you identify obstacles to growth so you can prioritize your healing, make changes in your day-to-day life, and create inspiring plans for the future.
Identity and intuition have been lifelong interests for me both personally and clinically. I have a substantial background in trauma therapy that began years ago when I was a client. I continue to work with trauma survivors to empower and aid them in healing. My personal experiences inform my understanding of how arduous the healing process can be, although each survivor’s feelings and reactions differ significantly.
When I am not working in private practice, I oversee mental health needs and services for clients at four supportive housing buildings in the Tenderloin. My past professional experience includes providing group and individual therapy in a drug treatment center for women deferring prison time, a university counseling center, a domestic violence organization, and an art studio where I worked with adults with physical and intellectual disabilities.
The healing-centered therapeutic work I facilitate relies on your inner knowing to nurture a sense of clarity and wisdom. Our time together will focus on increasing trust in your intuition instead of external messages. Sometimes this inner knowing can be challenging to reach—particularly when society teaches us to silence our intuition. To aid in accessing your inner voice, I frequently integrate a creative experiential component into my sessions, such as art-making, guided visualization, or trance-like states achieved through EMDR therapy.
When approached with an open mind and heart, the creative process can awaken you to knowledge that rests deep within yourself. Tapping into your creative self can allow you to enter a flow state, providing access to formerly unacknowledged insight. It is my hope that this work will lead you to feel inspired and in touch with yourself. Creativity is central to our human nature; it allows us to connect to ourselves and to connect with others.
We often find it difficult to take a minute from our busy lives to make time to look inward. The pace of our culture discourages contemplation and ritual, but therapy is a wonderful way to step back from the day-to-day and gain perspective. We will also nurture the motivation to make time for contemplation and ritual in your life outside of the therapy room.
Therapy should be supportive, empowering, challenging, inspiring, and transformative. My goal is to open space for you to explore what your life can be and to facilitate experiences that inspire growth and change. I honor your inner knowing and see you as the expert in your journey inward. Everything we uncover is already within you; our work together will bring it out.
