I have a feeling you’ve survived a lot.
You’re pretty impressive. I bet your story is downright amazing.
On this epic quest to live an amazing life, you wound up here, so what’s going on? There’s something that’s bugging you, isn’t there? Something that you can’t quite let go of, that’s getting in your way when you’re trying to move forward and feel successful in your life.
I get it. The struggle is real.
I HAVE GOOD NEWS!
There is hope and help. Therapy can help you learn new skills, process old patterns and feelings, and move toward being the person you most want to be. Every hero needs a little help on their epic quest—and that’s ok.
You can lift the dark veils of sadness, grief, and despair and learn to be playful again. You can practice feeling confident, poised, and certain until you fully believe in yourself. You can release habits and behaviors that may have been effective in the past (hey – you survived!) but are no longer serving you. You can heal the intricate dance of intimacy and relationships and tap into rich reserves of creativity and inspiration.
Hi! I’m Anna (ah-nuh). I love sci-fi, reading, electronic music, and dancing. I also draw, write, and paint and incorporate these modalities into therapy sessions. I’m interested in science and learning how our brains and bodies work. (Neuroscience? Somatics? Yes, please!)
I am nurturing, playful, and funny, although I can definitely put on my serious face and mean business when the time is right. I am sex positive, have progressive ideals, and am trained to work in ways that respect and honor an individual’s unique culture and identity.
I am passionate about contributing to the positive evolution of humanity and the world. By working with individuals and within relationships, I hope to create less harm by increasing awareness, intention, peacefulness, and kindness in our interactions with others.
I’d love to see you through this next phase of evolving yourself and your relationships. Contact me for a free consultation and let’s get started!
As an entrepreneur, I run my private practice in San Francisco's Mission and Sunnyside neighborhoods. I address issues related to trauma and abuse and am comfortable using harm reduction and behavioral interventions for high-risk behaviors. I’ve worked extensively with survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and childhood abuse, including complex and developmental trauma.
I also work with young and emerging professionals to address challenges they are facing in succeeding or advancing in career, relationships, and other areas of life—including stress management, increasing positive mood, accessing flow states, and career development. I have experience helping professionals develop the capacity for setting and achieving career goals.
I use expressive arts therapy, somatic approaches, mindfulness, harm reduction, and interventions informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to support clients as they process their experiences, learn new skills for regulating emotions, deepen relationships with others, and increase their capacity for success in various areas of their lives.
Each person is unique, and requires a unique approach. I'm relational and directive—I'm there with you in the struggle, talking with you and providing tools—not just sitting back and listening, although I'm a great listener as well. I believe the relationship is important to therapy, so I'm very real with my clients—the sessions aren't about me, but you also won't feel like I'm inaccessible.
I always strive to create a space that is friendly, aware, and affirming of marginalized identities, including sexual and gender identities (LGBTQ+), non-monogamy and polyamory, and kink/BDSM. I am aware of intersectional identities and work to honor and address the dynamics in the therapy room.
