- Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Master of Arts, Counseling Psychology
Therapy is about relationships—relationships to our selves, to our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, to our dreams and our fears. It's about relationships with family, friends, and partners.
Relationship dynamics are complicated, which can be especially true in our families. I help individuals, families, and couples sort out what is happening, what they want for their relationships, and what could use some tweaking.
You can have a life with more connection, less stress, and better communication. If you think I may be a good match, please don't hesitate to call or email me for a free consultation.
I received a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and have worked with a diverse range of adults, couples, families, and children in counseling centers and private practice.
My first love as an undergraduate was psychology, but I took a detour and became a chef. After ten years in the culinary industry, I returned to school for my master’s degree. I've loved both career paths and how they are both part art and part science.
I practice integrative psychotherapy, which means that I use different modalities and psychotherapeutic orientations depending on what might work best with each client and situation. I am warm, direct, and active in my style and I work with my clients to help them figure out what they'd like to accomplish in therapy. I teach clients to eventually become their own therapists using psychoeducation, mindfulness, and self-observation.
I believe that my clients are the experts on themselves. I am here to offer guidance, expertise, companionship, and to serve as a witness on their journey.
