Therapy is for increasing self-understanding. With that, we might become more skillful in relationship, get out of our own way and accomplish goals, or be more meaningfully engaged with life. We can better trust ourselves to navigate difficult situations with courage and confidence.
Good therapy is a mutually curious, open endeavor. I’ll make suggestions to challenge you to be honest with yourself or think in a novel way. You can expect me to answer questions about my life or give you a straight answer when you ask for advice.
I've been in my own intentional personal growth work for about 15 years: therapy, meditation, workshops, constant reading, solo retreats into the wilderness, etc. I did it for clarity, confidence and ease. My relationships benefited, but I did this selfishly because I was tired of my own shtick and confusion.
With free time, I write, read poetry, play instruments and sing, mountain bike, garden and woodwork.

My therapeutic style is to be warm, direct, and open with my perspective.
I focus on increasing your awareness of your motivations, thoughts, and feelings to reveal insight and more fulfilling, effective life choices.
I engage in a challenging yet compassionate way which accelerates self-understanding and contentment.
I'm excited about growth work, personally and professionally. When people work with me, they understand that and are encouraged to do what is necessary for their holistic healing. Facilitating growth and healing is my life's work.
I value authenticity in my personal relationships and believe that therapy benefits from a similar openness. This allows for safety and mutual trust.
