As a mental health therapist, it is my desire to help you live your life to the fullest and healthiest potential. There is hope for positive change. You do not have to be stuck in unhealthy patterns or states of mind. I care deeply for each and every one of my clients. I would love to help you in your healing journey.
Are you a teen, or a parent of a teen struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties? Do you feel like you don't understand yourself or why others don't treat you better? I'm here to work with you to find solutions together. I love helping teens feel better and getting to be a part of your healing journey. I have experience working with teenage clients in both a clinic and school setting.
I can help you by using a number of different therapeutic techniques to best suit your needs. I will treat you like a whole person and take all of who you are in to consideration.
Attending to one’s mental health is a central step in leading the “successful life” most people desire. I am able to help you take that next step. My practice is offered exclusively via teletherapy, allowing me to provide support to anyone in California.
I believe it is in the best interest of each individual with whom I work to consider who they are as a whole person; this includes their history, culture, gender, sexual expression, socioeconomic status, physical and spiritual health, and so many other facets that influence an individual and their wellbeing. I believe my role, as a therapist is to walk alongside individuals on their path to mental healing. I love it when I am able to help individuals find their strength within themselves, and I consider it a privilege to journey with someone as they share parts of their story with me. I utilize a number of different therapeutic techniques to best suit each person, however, I tend to apply Person-Centered, Solution Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) theories most often.
I graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After completing my undergraduate degree I gained experience through a variety of jobs. I was a behavioral aide with adolescents in a group home, a social worker with children and families in the foster care setting, and a case manager with adult individuals experiencing homelessness in a drop-in center. I went back to school and graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in the fall of 2019. I gained two years of clinical experience providing therapy to a variety of different ages in a clinical and school setting in the Santa Rosa area of California.
When a person desires to attend therapy, I believe they are already on a road to healing. Whether an individual is seeking help with anxiety, depression, self-harm, anger, relationship improvement, life transitions, or various other difficulties, it is my desire to provide an empathetic ear and to treat each person with dignity. I consider it an honor to be a part of an individual’s mental wellness journey as they find their inner strength to work through whatever symptoms or problems they may be facing.
