Hello/Bonjour, and bienvenue! I’m Tatiana Ecoiffier Davis (she/her/elle), a French-American registered associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). I offer psychotherapy in Berkeley (in person) and online across California, in both English and French. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, partners, and families.
Life is rich and complex, isn’t it? Some parts we can untangle on our own, and others are easier when shared with someone alongside. In therapy, I aim to be that companion for you. Together, we’ll create space for the full spectrum of human experience—smiles and laughter, as well as tears and quiet reflection.
If you’d like to talk further, I can be reached at 341-202-6464 or tatiana@tedtherapy.com. Congratulations on taking this important step to find a therapist who feels like a good fit—I wish you every success on your journey!
I believe deeply in the power of therapy—so much so that I chose to leave a successful career in the biotechnology industry to pursue this path. I have seen again and again that change is possible, that life can feel lighter, and that a sense of ease within ourselves is attainable. My hope is for everyone to have access to this inner alignment; not only does it help us navigate the uncertainty of life but it also creates the foundation for authentic connection and community in a world that can feel divided.
Therapy can be as simple as a conversation or as challenging as allowing ourselves to just be. I am here for the full journey! I am often moved to tears when someone discovers a truth about themselves that has long been waiting to be found. There is nothing more powerful than witnessing a door open that had been closed for too long—watching the heaviness lift and the fresh air of possibility flow in.
I’m committed to supporting the lived experiences of individuals from diverse racial backgrounds, abilities, genders, and sexual orientations.
I often work with individuals, couples and families who are navigating a range of challenges including:
ADHD
Anxiety
Depression
Eating Disorders
Immigrant adaptation stress
Parenting difficulties and parental burnout
As a therapist, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals from all stages of life - from children and adolescents to older adults. I help people navigate a range of challenges, including life transitions, health concerns, trauma, and loss. During my time at Crisis Support Services of Alameda County, I provided support to individuals experiencing suicidality and other acute crises. As a school counselor, I worked with students from preschool through high school in Emeryville Center for Community Life, École Bilingue in Berkeley, and Lycée Français de San Francisco (Sausalito campus), in addition to my private practice work.
On personal level:
Originally from France, I moved to the United States for graduate school. I began my journey at Harvard Medical School and later completed a PhD in Vision Science at UC Berkeley. For over a decade, I worked in the biotechnology and ophthalmology fields, where I collaborated with scientists, clinicians, and patients to help advance treatments for vision-related conditions. I then decided to go back to school and joined the MFT program at the Wright Institute in Berkeley. Thanks to these combined studies, I have discovered a profound alignment between who I am and what I do.
My style has been described as warm, nurturing, and grounded. In our work together. I will listen deeply and reflect on what I hear, trusting that this process can help you uncover, understand, and embrace who you truly are.
By fostering a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship, I aim to create a space where you feel at ease to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with curiosity and kindness.
