I specialize in working with Asian/BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, and neurodivergent adults, teens, and couples on issues around identity, social anxiety, general anxiety, depression, trauma, body image, self-esteem, grief, perfectionism, and relationship challenges.
My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in deep respect for your unique story and inner wisdom. Drawing from parts work, somatic practices, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and multicultural frameworks — I work collaboratively to slow down and adapt to what you need in the present moment.
I understand how lonely it can feel to carry parts of yourself that the world doesn’t easily make space for — and how healing it can be to have someone walk with you on the journey and truly witness you. I have been there before, and you don’t have to go through it alone. It takes a lot of courage to seek support, and finding a therapist who is the right fit can be challenging. Whether you’re ready to start therapy or simply exploring and have some questions, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
Welcome! My name is Deborah Oh (she/they), and I offer therapy grounded in the belief that therapy is not about “fixing” what’s wrong with you — but about reconnecting with what’s always been right. Somewhere along the way, we have been told that we are “too much” or “not enough.” We may have developed a harsh inner critic and experienced fear, shame, and trauma that keeps us from our inherent sense of belonging and connection. Together, we’ll make room for the complexity of who you are. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, or simply trying to understand yourself better — you’re welcome here, exactly as you are.
I believe that you are the expert of your experiences. I’m here to walk alongside you to support, reflect, and co-create a therapeutic space that works for your personal journey of discovery and process. I consider the whole of you — your mind, body, spirit, emotions, and relationships. Our work may include a combination of talk therapy, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and parts work, depending on what feels supportive for you. I recognize that all clients may have a history of trauma, and I honor your pacing. When ready, I approach from a place of curiosity, asking “what happened to you” rather than “what’s wrong with you. I recognize that our identities and social locations impact our experiences of the world, and I welcome the full complexity of your lived experience — your culture, race, gender, sexual orientation, body, history, relationships, and beliefs.
I have a Master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, where I trained in a variety of modalities, drawing from Gestalt, psychodynamic, somatic, transpersonal, and humanistic approaches. I have continued my studies in attachment-based approaches, parts work, and somatic embodiment, and I have completed the Level 1 Training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and the Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy Externship.
